JG Parry Thomas

Parry:Thomas concentrated on land speed records. He was chief engineer at Leyland Motors before becoming a professional racing driver. He died trying to break the world record in his car Babs at Pendine Sands, Wales, in 1927. He was decapitated when a chain that connected the engine to the rear wheels snapped at 170-mph.
