1997 - 2001
Track Length: 13.605 km
The track was changed primarily for the Superbikes over the cars - the Dunlop chicane was reshaped to make the turn a little further from the bridge, allowing for a greater 'run off area.'
Following several accidents during 1999 suffered by Mercedes, the FIA ordered that in 2001 the Mulsanne straight's 'hump' should be lowered.
Distance record: 2000: 5,007.988 km, average: 208.666 km/h.
2002 - 2006
