Well how did we do? With our thoughts for the season?
Author: ArchitectPage
Nick Heifield: unimpressive
Robert Kubica: I don't understand why he faded away in the last GP's.
Fernando Alonso: really impressive towards the end - after he realised he was not going to Ferrari - he scored more points than anyone in the last few GP.
Nelson Piquet: not much use
Kimi Raikkonen: so good but just didn't set out to win the Championship.
Felipe Massa: was World Champion until second from last corner of last race - he drove well - with different pit crew would have won by a mile ......
David Courthard: retired on a low
Mark Webber: Australian with British ability to moan - too heavy for next year
Nico Rosberg: Kazuki Nakajima: two drivers I can't remember much about ....
Jarno Trulli: Timo Glosk: coming good at end - too late .....
Jenson Button: Rubens Barrichello: no car - no wins - no idea how good they are....
Sebastien Bourdais: Did struggle in F1.
Sebastian Vettel: Much faster than his car.
Adrian Sutil: showed well at Monaco but the car was not up to it.
Giancarlo Fisichella: wasting his time.
Lewis Hamilton: lucky to be Champion - McLaren nearly thew it away for him and had Massa not been green lighted by team and takened fuel hose with him Lewis would not be Champion.
Heikki Kovalainen: not Champion material and no use riding 'shot gun' so should be replaced for next season.
2008 Formula One the year traction control was outlawed. 2009 will be all new with heavy drivers at a real disadvantage
previous comments Drivers:
BMW:
Not a bad car the drivers just don't impress. Button in this car would have won the Championship - so might Glock.
Nick Heifield: Never done much unlikely to do much good at moaning - life being unfair and all.
Robert Kubica: Not as bad as I first thought but not quite top notch - sometimes good often average.
Renault:
Fernando Alonso: could not keep up with a rookie last year better this - should have retired - but keeps going - his comments about helping Massa degrade the Spanish people
Nelson Piquet: rich playboy type - not his dad who had ability and real drive over hype showing really not putting up much of a show
Ferrari:
Kimi Raikkonen: started rubbish last year not as fast as team mate should not be Champion and knows Lewis Hamilton was robbed. Made mistakes in Australia but not in Malaysia when no pressure couldn't really do anything at wet Monaco he is just going through the motions this year falls over in the rain.
Felipe Massa: fastest in team but treated as second man should have moved but will not be Champion this year. Too many mistakes early on but now showing he is better than team mate but still letting the pressure get to him in these last races
Red Bull:
David Courthard: never been much good just there to make up numbers - leaving.
Mark Webber: moaning Webber getting better results a real tryer - look forward to seeing him in a good car.
Williams:
Nico Rosberg: is good enough to be No. 1 in team but not a good car.
Kazuki Nakajima: still wonder why?
Toyota:
Jarno Trulli: patchy driver may be slower than team mate but did ok in Malaysian still there when car goes.
Timo Glosk: interesting new to F1 driver doing well.
Honda:
Jenson Button: not this year - Ross Brawn (best guy in F1) will succeed but in 2009.
Rubens Barrichello: too late - should go.
Toro Rosso:
Sebastien Bourdais: Will struggle in F1 at first.
Sebastian Vettel: Faster than car.
Force India :
Adrian Sutil: will be strained with this team - needs finishes would have been good if he had finished Monaco but taken out from behind by a Ferrari!!!.
Giancarlo Fisichella: very fast but inconsistent much too good for car.
Super Aguri:
GONE
McLaren: (the naughty boys)
Lewis Hamilton: should not have let his team throw away his Championship last year expect a repeat year at best. Fast driving and team getting strategy wrong. Drives so well but gets it wrong so often.
I just like him I like his driving style I like the way he get up the noses of those moaning drivers I like the way he is actually happy. Both the Ferrari drivers look so miserable. I want Lewis to win every time but for so long I don't care who wins as long as the cheats at Ferrari loose.
Heikki Kovalainen: luckiest guy in F1 will be given everything possible and with Lewis will have the fastest team mate - his wins will come from McLaren cocking up Lewis. Like Malaysian - too late to win championship but showing he is better than Alonso. Unfortunately he is fading and seems as unlucky as Hamilton.
I think season has come out much as I expected same two teams in it - the FIA trying to get Ferrari to win again - McLaren treated like rubbish. Hamilton fun to watch but never quite getting it. The rest of the teams are there but after the races is over its hard to remember what they did. You look at the results and realise that Ferrari and McLaren lost it not that they were beaten. With the exception of the top three only Glock is memorable
